As promised, the independent Danish studio IO Interactive held on January 13th full presentation second year content support for his social stealth action game Hitman 3.
January – the day of the start of the second year of support – the PC version of Hitman 3 receives the promised VR mode with full hand tracking (cf. Example of interaction) and the Elusive Target: Arcade mode starts on all target platforms.
The arcade variant is characterized by the need to eliminate multiple elusive targets in a row. Special rewards will be given for completion and in the event of a mission failure, a 12-hour timer will be activated until the next attempt.
Another new mode will appear in Hitman 3 this spring – Freelancer. It’s designed for one player and brings villainous elements, strategic planning, and customizable hiding spots to the project.
In Freelancer, the players go through campaigns (several missions each) with the aim of assassinating the leader of a criminal empire. In between missions, the hero returns to the base for shopping and the equipment left in the mission disappears.
In the course of the current year Hitman 3 will introduce a number of technical improvements (ray tracing, XeSS scaling, variable shading frequency) and add a new card – Rocky.
Finally, it was announced that on January 20, the entire latest Hitman trilogy will be released in one set (the games will also be sold separately) on Steam, Epic Games Store, Game Pass (Xbox and PC), as well as on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S.
