Humane was founded in 2018 by Imran Chaudri and Bethany Bongiorno. Since then, the startup has received $241 million in investment without publicly disclosing exactly what it’s working on. All that is known is that the company is working on it “a software platform and consumer device built from the ground up for artificial intelligence”. A video released by the company and patent filings suggest it’s a wearable device that projects virtual objects into the real world and allows users to interact with them.

Additionally, Humane has announced a partnership with Open AI, a developer of generative neural networks like ChatGPT and DALL-E. According to reports, as part of the cooperation between the two companies, Open AI developments will be integrated into the Humane device.

According to the source, Sam Altman, the founder of Open AI, as well as Microsoft, which has built a huge cloud computing infrastructure for AI development, participated in Humane’s recent funding round. Humane plans to use Microsoft’s cloud service to launch its own software service platform. Humane is also implementing a number of projects with Korean company LG Electronics and is also collaborating with Volvo Cars to integrate its products into cars in the future.
