Starfield got off to the best start in Bethesda gaming history, but there’s a caveat

It’s only been a few days since the official release of the space RPG Starfield, and the latest creation from the developers of Bethesda Game Studios has already attracted a record number of users to the company.

As it became known, Starfield showed the most successful launch in the history of games published by Bethesda Softworks – the project’s audience reached 6 million people just two days after full release.

In other words, Starfield reached its 6 million users even faster than Bethesda Game Studios hits like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Fallout 4.

It is worth noting that the size of the audience does not correspond to Starfield sales: from the first day of release, the game is available for free to subscribers of the Game Pass service. It is not clear how successful the project was financially.

Starfield is available for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass (PC and Xbox). On the first day after the full release, the aggregate peak online across all target platforms surpassed 1 million players.
