STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and GSC Partnership with Koch Media

Studio GSC Game World, even after the publication of the first trailer for STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, announced that the game is being created on the Unreal Engine. However, the company hid for a long time which iteration it was using in production. The developers have shared this information only now.

The following appeared on the Unreal Engine microblogging message: “It’s hot not only because of the weather – over the past few months we’ve seen over 80 Unreal Engine games coming out soon. Take a look at our blogdedicated to summer games to find out more information and watch trailers of each project “… GSC Game World responded to the message. Studio representatives wrote: “Hey Unreal Engine, feel free to mention we’re working with UE5.”

Recall that the fifth iteration of the Epic Games engine went into Early Access at the end of May 2021. It is also worth noting that the distribution of physical versions of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl on the global market will be handled by Koch Media. The portal reported about the cooperation of GSC Game World with the aforementioned publishing house Gematsu

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be released on April 28, 2022 on PC, Xbox Series X and S. According to a May leak, the game will remain a console exclusive on Microsoft platforms for three months.
