Sony has released a cooling dock for the Xperia 1 IV smartphone

Sony has announced a curious accessory for the Xperia 1 IV smartphone, which debuted in May this year. The novelty called Xperia Stream is aimed at gamers and streamers.

The accessory combines the functions of an external cool box and a docking station. The Xperia Stream includes a fan that effectively cools the back of your smartphone. The impeller speed can be set manually via the dedicated mobile app.

The novelty is equipped with a 3.5 mm audio jack, an Ethernet network connector (RJ45) and a USB Type-C connector. In addition, there is an HDMI interface with the ability to output images in 1080p at 120 frames per second.

The Xperia 1 IV Gaming Edition is also announced with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of flash storage. The Xperia Stream comes bundled with this device. The accessories can also be purchased separately for around $160.

Recall that the Xperia 1 IV comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, along with a 6.5-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1644×3840 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The equipment includes a camera with three 12-megapixel modules and a ToF sensor. A 5000 mAh battery is responsible for the power supply.
