Internet sources report that a new technology for ultra-fast charging of smartphone batteries could soon hit the commercial market: we’re talking about a 240W system.
It is known that the technology is being developed by a certain Chinese company. Her name hasn’t been revealed, but observers agree it’s Oppo, one of the world’s largest smartphone vendors.
The fact is, earlier this year, Oppo lifted the veil of secrecy over the 240-watt SuperVooc charger at the MWC 2022 mobile phone show in Barcelona. The system is said to be able to charge a 4,500 mAh battery from 0% to 100% in just nine minutes.
“Since the presentation Oppo SuperVooc in 2014, the company is one of the leaders in fast charging technology. As of December 2021, more than 220 million users around the world have enjoyed efficient, safe and fast loading oppo‘ the company notes.
The Chinese developer is said to have already started trial production of chargers for the 240-watt system. They work in 24V × 10A mode.
It should be noted that rival Vivo will soon launch the iQOO 10 Pro smartphone, which will support 200W ultra-fast charging. It takes approximately 12 minutes to fully charge the battery of this device.
