Internet sources report that the Galaxy Watch5 smart watch, which Samsung is preparing for release, will add significantly to the cost compared to the current generation of gadgets – Galaxy Watch4 (shown in the pictures).
The new family is rumored to include 40mm and 44mm versions of the Galaxy Watch5 and 45mm versions of the Galaxy Watch5 Pro. They are credited with a round OLED display, a GPS receiver, a battery with 10-watt wireless charging, a Wi-Fi adapter with 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency bands, heart rate and body temperature sensors.
According to reliable insider Roland Quandt, editor of the WinFuture website, the Galaxy Watch5 40mm costs 300 euros, while the LTE version will cost 350 euros. For comparison: The 40 mm versions of the Galaxy Watch4 cost 270 euros and 320 euros respectively at the start of sales. This increases the price by €30.
Modifications of the 44mm Galaxy Watch5 cost 350 euros without LTE support and 400 euros with 4G module versus 300 euros and 350 euros for the Galaxy Watch4. That means the increase is €50.
The Galaxy Watch5 Pro, which will replace the 46mm Galaxy Watch4 Classic, is priced at €490 without a cellular connection and €540 with an LTE chip. The price for the predecessors was 400 or 450 euros. In other words, the cost increases by €90. However, it must be emphasized that all this information is exclusively unofficial.
