SMART Modular Technologies, a division of SMART Global Holdings, announced the DuraFlash MP3000 family of solid state drives for improved reliability and environmental durability.
The products will be available in three versions – M.2 2280, M.2 22110 and E1.S. They can be used in commercial and industrial grade equipment.
It is based on 3D NAND flash memory chips and uses the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface (NVMe 1.4 specification) for data exchange. We are talking about support for TCG Opal 2.0 and encryption of information according to the AES-XTS 256 standard.
Modifications with a capacity of 240, 480 and 960 GB and 1.92 TB are planned for all three form factors. The declared speed of sequential reading of information reaches 3500 MB / s, sequential writing speed is 2000 MB / s.
The value of IOPS (input/output operations per second) when working with data blocks of 4 KB is up to 400,000 for random reads and up to 160,000 for random writes. The MTBF (mean time between failures) exceeds 2 million hours.
Two operating temperature ranges are available for frame sizes M.2 2280 and M.2 22110: 0 to +70 °C and -40 to +85 °C. E1.S devices are only designed for operation in the first of the specified ranges.
