SilverStone Launches Universal RM51 Server and Desktop Cases

SilverStone has released the RM51 computer case. The novelty is made in the form factor 5U and is designed for building a server or a workstation. An interesting feature of the case is the ability to install it not only horizontally, but also vertically. An additional fan block near the PCIe slots is also noticeable.

The case supports the installation of SSI-EEB, SSI-CEB, E-ATX and smaller mainboards. Inside there are two seats for power supplies. One standard-size ATX block is installed in the upper part of the case, the second is more compact in SFX format and takes place instead of a basket for 3.5-inch drives.

The novelty also has slots for four 2.5-inch drives and offers up to four slots for 3.5-inch drives. Inside you can install a graphics card up to 455 mm long and 157-198 mm high (if you remove the expansion slot latch), as well as processor coolers with a height of 181-192 mm.

The case has a mesh front panel, behind which there can be up to three 120mm or two 180mm fans – the latter are included in the kit one pair each (Air Penetrator 184i PRO). The additional external block on the rear wall at the level of the expansion slots contains two 80 mm fans. The rear panel also offers space for a 140 mm fan. The case also supports 360mm (front) and 120mm (rear) LSS radiators.

Together with the external fan unit, the dimensions of the SilverStone RM51 case are 440 × 220 × 485 mm.

The case will be available in the Asian and North American markets in the second half of this month. In Europe, the novelty is expected in March. The manufacturer has priced the RM51 at $490.
