Sifu will add levels of difficulty, both simplified and increased

The developers of the melee Sifu, which has been played by more than 500,000 people in just a few days since its release, are preparing an important update for the visually impaired. At the same time, the ability to choose the level of difficulty will be added to the game, and the authors promise that this will both facilitate and complicate the process of passing.

Sloclap Studio co-founder Pierre Tarno talks live about the upcoming changes told visually impaired gamer and Twitch streamer Steve Taylor. The developers plan to simplify navigation by sound, improve ambient sounds and add subtitles. The PS4 and PS5 versions will have a high contrast mode, which is currently only available for PC play.

With the update, players can pause combat to follow the storyline. The simplified difficulty will not allow the most experienced players to reach the finals, and the increased difficulty will make action movie fans sweat. Sifu’s innate trial and error will not go away, but the cost of failure will increase.

So far, the developers have not announced the release date of the update. Sifu was released on February 6th for Deluxe Edition owners, and on February 8th the game became available for base version owners on PC, PS4 and PS5.
