The Spanish edition of El Chapuzas Informatico has shared information about the Sapphire GPRO X080 and Sapphire GPRO X060 graphics accelerators. Both new products are based on the AMD RDNA 2 architecture and are intended exclusively for mining.
AMD partners are actively selling video cards for miners, although they do not publicize it, so as not to cause anger among their fans in the camp of gamers. Most often, such offers do not even appear on the official websites of the manufacturer, so details about them are often left behind the scenes. Nevertheless, the Spanish edition of El Chapuzas Informatico was able to get information about two video cards for mining from Sapphire at once. Both belong to the GPRO series.
While the Sapphire GPRO series graphics cards are most often marketed as workstation solutions, the GPRO X080 and GPRO X060 are designed exclusively for mining. The company even indicates the performance of new products in the mining of Ethereum cryptocurrency:
- Sapphire GPRO X080: 38.0 MH / s @ 165 W TGP (base hash), 41.6 MH / s @ 93 W TGP (after optimization)
- Sapphire GPRO X060: 27.8 MH / s @ 100 W TGP (base hash), 29.4 MH / s @ 60 W TGP (after optimization)
Sapphire GPRO X080 is based on the Navi 22 graphics chip, which contains 2304 stream processors (between the Radeon RX 6700 XT and RX 6600 XT), which operates at frequencies up to 2132 MHz. The card received 10 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 16 GHz and 160-bit bus support, and is equipped with a PCIe Gen 4.0 x16 interface. The novelty is completely devoid of any video connectors and works only with the Linux operating system.
The Sapphire GPRO X060 is based on a Navi 23 XL graphics chip with 1792 stream processors (like the Radeon RX 6600), clocked at up to 2044 MHz. This new product received 8 GB of GDDR6 video memory with an effective frequency of 14 GHz and support for 128-bit bus. Unlike the older model, the X060 has DisplayPort and HDMI connectors, and can also work in Windows 10, Windows 11 and Linux operating systems.
According to El Chapuzas Informatico, the price of Sapphire GPRO X080 is 750 euros, the younger version of Sapphire GPRO X060 is sold for 550 euros. Both cards are offered directly to large mining farms, so the manufacturer hasn’t even added them to its range on the official website. It should be added that Sapphire released the GPRO X070 as part of the GPRO series earlier this year. It is based on the Navi 10 GPU and is not mining.
