Sequential read speeds of up to 100 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 90 MB/s are specified for new articles. The novelty corresponds to the microSDXC UHS-I standard.

The new 1TB card features the Hylian crest inspired by The Legend of Zelda. Smaller memory card variants in this series also relate to other well-known Nintendo titles such as Super Mario Bros. The new capacity is double the storage previously offered in the Nintendo-licensed SanDisk microSD card line, allowing gamers to expand their digital gaming library and save their favorite games in one place. Legend of Zelda fans in particular can rest assured that there is plenty of room for an exciting new chapter in the franchise: The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The Legend of Zelda series of games has been a popular franchise for over 30 years and continues to capture the hearts and minds of gamers around the world. We’re excited to introduce this latest memory card to the community of fans, and through our close partnership with Nintendo, we’re proud to continue offering products that help gamers get the most out of their Nintendo Switch gaming experience.said Susan Park, vice president of global strategic partnerships at Western Digital.

The 1TB SanDisk microSD card for Nintendo Switch costs $130 and is available now from Western Digital retailers, resellers and the company’s online store.
