For more than ten years, the South Korean company Samsung has presented its flagship Galaxy S series smartphones in the first quarter, usually in February. According to available data, the next generation flagships will appear earlier than usual – the manufacturer will officially present them on January 18, 2024 as part of the Unpacked event.

Samsung’s intention to launch the Galaxy S24 smartphones was announced earlier this year by insider Ice Universe, known for accurate predictions about the South Korean vendor’s products. According to him, such an early announcement is due to the fact that Samsung and Qualcomm will release next-generation mobile processors earlier than usual this year.
The last time Samsung introduced its flagship Galaxy S series smartphones was in January a few years ago. The Galaxy S21 smartphones were announced at the end of January 2021. At the time, this early announcement was due to the manufacturer’s desire to quickly start selling smartphones during the coronavirus pandemic to support consumer demand. Now a more pragmatic reason is given as the reason for such an early announcement. Samsung and Qualcomm are expected to release new flagship processors earlier than usual, so they will be fully ready for use in final products by the time the Galaxy S24 smartphones are released.
