Samsung wants to double sales of foldable smartphones

This August, Samsung announced its next-generation flexible display smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4. According to online sources, the South Korean giant aims to double the demand for these devices compared to the current Galaxy Z Fold3 (in the first picture) and Galaxy Z Flip3 (in the second picture).

Samsung is estimated to have sold just over 7 million Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphones this year. At the same time, the company occupies a leading position in the world market for devices equipped with a flexible screen.

As for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4, their total sales are expected to reach 15 million units by early 2023. If this forecast is justified, the demand will be at least twice as high compared to the current generation devices. It also notes that the Galaxy Z Flip4 will outperform the Galaxy Z Fold4 by a 2:1 ratio.

According to rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold4 model will get a 7.56-inch flexible display, a 6.2-inch diagonal external screen, an updated camera system and a flash drive with a capacity of up to 1 TB.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 clamshell models are credited with a flexible 6.7-inch main display, a 2.1-inch external screen, a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and storage capacity of up to 512GB.
