The South Korean company Samsung in August this year released new smartphones with flexible displays Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Now the vendor has published a video showing how the reliability of the flagships is tested. Probably, the reason for the appearance of the video lies in the company’s desire to dispel rumors about the not too high reliability of the displays of the mentioned devices.
The video posted contains excerpts from four separate tests. In one of them, smartphones are placed in a special camera, inside of which different weather conditions are simulated, which makes it possible to assess the device’s resistance to different types of climate. The second test involves submerging smartphones in water. In the third test, the robotic arm tests the display’s reliability when interacting with the S Pen. The final test involves multiple folding / unfolding cycles of the devices.
Most likely, the appearance of the video, which demonstrates the process of checking the new flagships for reliability, is associated with the growing number of user complaints about the appearance of small cracks on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 screen.
