Samsung is preparing state employees Galaxy A13 and Galaxy A03S with 5G support, but more expensive than their predecessors

In the near future, Samsung will present updated models of smartphones of the popular Galaxy A series. It is reported that the most affordable devices of the series, Galaxy A13 and A03S, will rise in price compared to their predecessors and will be able to boast 5G support.

Unlike the Galaxy A12, which only supports LTE, the new Galaxy A13 will be able to operate on 5G networks up to 6 GHz. This partly explains its $ 250 price tag, which is $ 70 more than the Galaxy A12. The smartphone screen will also undergo changes. The device will receive a 6.5-inch matrix with a teardrop notch and a refresh rate of 90 Hz versus 60 Hz for the Galaxy A12. Another advantage of the novelty will be the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, which is almost three times more powerful than the Helio P35 that underlies the Galaxy A12. Samsung did not say how much RAM the new product will receive. The smartphone will only be available with 64GB storage. Other advantages of the Galaxy A13 include a 3.5mm audio jack, an NFC module for contactless payments, a 50MP triple main camera and a 5000mAh battery.

Much less is known about the upcoming Galaxy A03S. It is only reported that the smartphone will receive 5G support and will debut in 2022, and its price will be $ 159.99. Recall that last year’s Galaxy A02S hit the market for $ 109.99. Samsung did not disclose the exact specifications of the device, stating only that it will receive “battery providing long battery life, triple main camera and privacy via fingerprint sensor“.

Both smartphones will ship with Android 11 out of the box, but it is unclear if they will receive regular security updates over the four years that Samsung is guaranteeing for some of its other Galaxy A series smartphones. The new items will go on sale in early January 2022.
