Samsung will provide its flagship smartphones from the Galaxy S22 Ultra with 45 W fast charging support. Reported by the renowned analyst Roland Quandt. He shared a picture of Samsung’s new charger, model number EP-T4510, which is apparently sold separately.

According to a leaked image, the new charger comes with a USB Type-C cable. If the leak is right, Samsung would re-equip its flagship solutions with support for 45W fast charging. The last device supported by the company was the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which was unveiled in February 2020. Due to the specifics of the technology, 45W charging practically did not outperform the 25W solution in terms of speed, so it was decided to forego it.

Samsung’s current 45 W adapter looks very similar, but the upcoming charger should be smaller. Hopefully the new charger will really boost the charging speed of the company’s flagship smartphones. The Korean tech giant continues to push 25W charging while competitors are increasingly adopting 120W fast charging.
