Samsung has introduced a special version of the smartwatch Galaxy Watch6 Classic Astro Edition. They are equipped with an “astrobezel” – a rotating display frame that shows stars, constellations and other celestial bodies. The watch’s appearance is inspired by astrolabes, ancient astronomical instruments used to measure horizontal angles and determine the coordinates of celestial bodies.
The Galaxy Watch6 Classic Astro Edition will be available in a single size (47mm) and in black. The device will also include an additional fabric strap and Astro Edition collectibles.
Samsung has equipped the watch with exclusive software features and watch faces. Notably, there was a compass function on the dial, as well as the ability to track the moon and sun phases.
Galaxy Watch6 Classic Astro Edition buyers also have access to Samsung’s exclusive promo app store.
The Galaxy Watch6 Classic Astro Edition is only offered in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and Morocco. The novelty was valued at around $544.
