Android Authority expert Rob Triggs conducted a survey among site visitors to find out which flagship smartphones take the best photos. To do this, he took a series of pictures on flagship smartphones of 2021 – the experiment involved the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max, Google Pixel 6 Pro, OnePlus 9 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Sony Xperia 1 III and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

Although Triggs himself did not name a standout, he personally subjectively preferred the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. It seems that most of the users who voted agreed with him.
It turned out that 37.5% of respondents prefer the Galaxy S21 Ultra. The second place was taken by Google Pixel 6 Pro, almost 25% of respondents considered that it was he who took the best photos. The third place, gaining about 13.6% of the votes, was taken by the iPhone 13 Pro Max, only slightly ahead of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (13.3%). The fifth and sixth places were taken by OnePlus 9 Pro (5.75%) and Sony Xperia 1 III (5.25%), respectively.

As a result of the vote, he said that it was more of a social experiment. Not knowing which smartphone the photos were taken with, users overwhelmingly chose the not most expensive Google Pixel 5a, and top-end models like the Samsung Galaxy S21 or iPhone 13 did not even pass the second of several voting rounds. True, the blogger noted that the average user evaluates quality primarily in terms of brightness – the brighter the image, the better it is supposedly.
