Insider Tom Henderson (Tom Henderson) in the material for the portal eXputer announced that French publisher Ubisoft has started development of a game based on new intellectual property.
According to Henderson’s whistleblowers, it’s a third-person shooter Pathfinder (perhaps a codename) that will look like Ubisoft Montreal’s upcoming battle royale Hyper Scape.
Pathfinder is another twist on the Battle Royale theme: a team of four heroes (as the player characters are known) are dropped onto a map centered around an AI-controlled boss.
To get to the boss, users must overcome an outer and inner wall, each with multiple gates. Different passages for hacking (and moving in place) are available in different games.
To level up towards the final battle, you’ll have to fight AI enemies (the closer to the center, the stronger they are) and presumably other players as well. In this case Pathfinder will be a PvPvE project.
Among other things, Pathfinder is expected to have an analogue of the Tower of Destiny with a shooting range, an area for various events, fun races in vehicles, a shop and so on.
Henderson concludes that Pathfinder is still in the very early stages of development, but has some flair that Ubisoft games have been lacking in recent years, according to an insider.
