Rumours: Mortal Kombat 1 will not be released until September and DLCs with guest characters for the game are already being prepared

The fighting game Mortal Kombat 1, the supposed reboot of the famous franchise, hasn’t even been officially launched yet and a DLC for the game is already being planned. At least that’s what the portal says. Windows Central.

Insider billbil-kun revealed that the next part of Mortal Kombat will be called Mortal Kombat 1 on May 11th. According to him, the game will be released on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and Nintendo Switch.

Windows Central sources confirmed the accuracy of the information provided by billbil-kun and also added: The announcement of the project is expected in “in the next weeks”Release is currently scheduled for September 2023.

Regarding post-release support for Mortal Kombat 1, Windows Central mentioned paid guest characters from other Warner Bros. franchises: Homelander from The Boys superhero series and Peacekeeper from the DC Comics.

The fact that the next Mortal Kombat will be another reboot of the series is clearly hinted at by the two May teasers. The last video also promises quick news about the game.

The Mortal Kombat 1 show could take place in the PlayStation Showcase. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s large-scale gaming presentation has not been officially announced, but according to the latest data, it is scheduled to take place on May 22-25.
