Blizzard Entertainment’s upcoming fantasy RPG Diablo IV has announced five player character classes, but a new official keepsake could hint at a sixth. And also quite unexpected.
As noted by the portal GameRantv current video Blogger Dark LORE Dash found a mysterious symbol on the cover of his YouTube channel available from the official Blizzard Store Diablo IV style beer mug.
The mug is decorated with images of Lilith and Inarius – two characters important to the Diablo IV storyline – and on its lid is the game’s logo in a triangle of glyphs of three Manifestations of the One Evil and six symbols in a circle engraved.
Five of these six emblems correspond to the previously announced character classes in Diablo IV: Rogue, Necromancer, Barbarian, Druid, and Wizard. The sixth is the icon Churches of the Three – an ancient cult of the incarnations of the One Evil.
Dark LORE Dash refuses to believe that such a significant detail has accidentally or negligently made its way into official Diablo IV merchandise. The blogger saw the symbol as a reference to the character’s sixth grade.
Exactly what a cult-inspired following of the Incarnations of the One Evil (and now Lilith) can be is not clear: an occultist, a malevolent knight, a death knight, a blood knight? In any case, the answer will be unexpected.
Diablo IV will be released on June 6th on PC (Battle.net), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, but will unlock on June 2nd for Premium Edition buyers. The last open “beta” before the release will take place from May 12th to 14th.
