VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb in the reboot of his show GrubbSnax for the site giant bomb (requires paid subscription) talked about the development of the next licensed installment in the Dragon Age RPG series.
According to Grubb’s informants, the new Dragon Age has dawned “very fit”: The BioWare team is on schedule and hitting all production milestones on time.
Nevertheless, according to Grubb, the release of the game cannot be expected in the next year and a half: “Release is at least 18 months away. So not at the beginning of 2023, but maybe at the end.”.
Grubb also stated that Electronic Arts has no plans to update the Dragon Age trilogy like the Mass Effect Legendary Edition: the games in the series are not as closely linked by storyline and are built on different engines, which would create additional work for the team .
Officially, the release of the previously unnamed Dragon Age is expected in April of this year at the earliest. According to unconfirmed information (also from Grubb), the project will only appear on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S.
