As soon as Square Enix confirmed the PC version of the fantasy action role-playing game Final Fantasy XVI, fans began to fear that the game would be available exclusively on the Epic Games Store after Final Fantasy VII Remake. Doesn’t seem to be.

In a Final Fantasy XVI discussion on the ResetEra forums, RPG site owner and VG247 editor Alex Donaldson cited his sources informedthat Square Enix has no plans to make the PC version of the game exclusive to EGS.
Donaldson also explained that the two add-ons announced for Final Fantasy XVI will not be an epilogue to the game, but will expand on the middle of the main story (see add-ons for Mass Effect or Final Fantasy XV).
According to the journalist, this is Square Enix’s current plan for the PC version and expansions of Final Fantasy XVI: “As far as I know. As always, I could be wrong, but I don’t think that’s the case..
Final Fantasy XVI debuted on PS5 on June 22 and sold 3 million copies in six days. Square Enix promises to report on the PC version and additions to the game before the end of 2023.
