Publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment has no interest in expanding the list of target platforms for the FromSoftware studio’s gothic action game Bloodborne, but is not sitting idle with the franchise either. This was reported by insider Daniel Richtman, known under the pseudonym DanielRPK.

In a recent message to his subscribers on Patreon (The content can be viewed Here) Richtman announced that a feature-length film based on Bloodborne is in production at Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions. The insider did not mention the release date of the film.
Bloodborne was reportedly written by Darren Lemke, known for Shazam!, The Wheel of Time and Death Road, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who produced Doom, Transformers and Meg: Monster of Depth.
Fans expect a direct retelling of the events of Bloodborne or a creative vision of the story; The film’s logline does not provide any information, but only reminds us of the game’s plot: the main character, the hunter, has to reveal the secrets of the city of Yharnam. whose residents are transformed into terrible monsters by a mysterious illness.
Bloodborne was released in March 2015 and hasn’t made it beyond the PS4 in eight years. Numerous rumors about an expansion of the list of target platforms have not yet been confirmed. Meanwhile, fans are adding 60fps support to the game and trying to run it on PC via an emulator.
