Rumors: Microsoft is pushing Bethesda to release Starfield and Diablo IV is in big trouble

ResetEra forum users under the alias Horns, predicted the release of rhythm-action Hi-Fi Rush shortly after the Developer_Direct show, divided alleged inside information about the development of Starfield, Redfall and Diablo IV.

Because of the big losses related to its Azure cloud service, Microsoft hopes to release Bethesda Game Studios’ space role-playing game Starfield before the end of the current fiscal year, which is in June, Horns said.

The problem is reportedly that Starfield isn’t ready for the June release, and Bethesda itself was hoping to delay the release until the fall. If Microsoft gets its point across, Starfield risks coming out in a very raw form.

Starfield is being built for PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S, and Game Pass (PC and Xbox). Microsoft is planning a full reveal of the game in the coming months. On that they will probably name the final release date.

Arkane Austin’s co-op open-world shooter Redfall, which has been given an exact release date on Developer_Direct, also needs additional quality control, according to Horns, but there’s no question of a Starfield-scale disaster.

The release of the new project from the developers of Dishonored and Prey is announced for May 2 this year in versions for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S and Game Pass (PC and Xbox).

Diablo IV, Blizzard Entertainment’s fantasy action role-playing game, is set to release on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox as early as June 6, but Horns says that date could be in doubt. Currently, the game is superficially still far from ideal.
