Apple will unveil the first MacBook Pro with the M2 arm processor at an event next month. This is reported by the publication DigiTimes, citing sources in the supply chain of the company “Apfel”.
DigiTimes reports that Apple’s manufacturing partners in China have kept production lines running during the Lunar New Year holiday to ensure a timely launch of the new MacBook Pro, which is slated for launch in early March.
DigiTimes suggests the novelty will be unveiled at a March event, which will also showcase the third-gen iPhone SE and new iPad Air. According to sources, most of the components of the new MacBook Pro will have almost the same characteristics as the existing model with the M1 chip, except for the single-chip platform. Since only the entry-level MacBook Pro presented in 2020 is based on the “normal” M1, the new product will most likely be its successor.
Not so long ago, Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman (Mark Gurman) said that this year Apple will introduce an updated model of the base MacBook Pro with the M2 chip, but he assumed that the device would be presented a little later . Gurman believes that the screen size of the novelty will increase from 13 to 14 inches, while the matrix will not provide users with high refresh rates, like the displays of the high-end 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro 2021.
