Rumors: long-suffering PS4 exclusive WiLD did not live up to release

As a reminder, WiLD was announced at Gamescom 2014 as a PS4 exclusive. As part of Paris Games Week 2015, the game received another gameplay demo, after which the stream of news about the project almost completely dried up.

According to Grabb, one cannot count on a successful development outcome: “I can confirm that the game is finally over. There is no more WiLD … WiLD is dead. “

“It seems that Michel Ansel abandoned the project … he is no longer working on it, and production was closed. The team that worked on [WiLD], I thought to stay together and do something else “, – the portal quotes Grubb Video Games Chronicle

Ansel announced his retirement from the gaming industry in September 2020. Then the renowned game designer said that the projects he left, including WiLD, will continue to live without him.

WiLD events were supposed to unfold ten thousand years before the emergence of civilization, in a period of harmony between man and nature. The project was a survival adventure and multiplayer game.

In WiLD, the developers promised a world the size of real Europe, changing weather and even seasons, as well as the ability to take control of any creature, be it a man, a monster or a beast.
