Former IGN and Kinda Funny Editor Colin Moriarty on a recent episode of the Sacred Symbols podcast divided alleged insider details on the next installment in the Tomb Raider action-adventure series.
According to Moriarty, he got his hands on a fragment of the script for the upcoming Tomb Raider, codenamed Project Jawbreaker. The game is described as an action-adventure set in a modern world shattered by a mysterious cataclysm.
According to the plot, Lara’s family dramas are left behind. The heroine grew into a seasoned adventuress, hit the tabloids, inspired a new generation of tomb robbers, but suffered from loneliness over the years.
“In a new adventure, Lara will take on a challenge that she can only master as a team. Collaboration is alien to her: she has always managed to do it alone, so she feels out of place in this situation.it says in the project description.
Therefore, the heroine has to work together with other Tomb Raiders (they have words in the script), which will supposedly become part of the core gameplay of Project Jawbreaker.
The role of Lara Croft in Project Jawbreaker is believed to be from a genuine British woman, aged 30-40, around 170cm tall and in good physical shape. Type: Emily Blunt (Emily Blunt) or Rosamund Pike (Rosamund Pike).
Officially, the new Tomb Raider is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5. Recently, the franchise no longer belongs to the Japanese publisher Square Enix, but to the Swedish investment company Embracer Group.
