In November 2021, Konami removed the first three Metal Gear Solid titles from digital services. The games never returned to virtual store shelves, but it looks like gamers will soon have a new way to take part in classic stealth action games.

Windows Central editor Jez Corden citing his sources informedthat a Japanese publisher is preparing to release a remastered collection of the Metal Gear Solid Classic Collection.
The “Classic Collection” of the series will contain the same Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. The graphics are slightly streamlined and the release is on multiple platforms. The announcement is expected later (possibly in June).
In 2011 Konami already released a compilation with remasters of MGS 2, MGS 3 and Peace Walker, but only for PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita
Corden also added that after the first collection of classics, Konami may release a second one with Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Peace Walker, and other offshoots like Portable Ops. At the same time, MGS 4 should not find a place in any collection.
Meanwhile, according to insider Tom Henderson and Corden himself, a full-fledged remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 is being prepared for announcement. It is quite possible that the project will be presented at the PlayStation Showcase today.
