VGC speculates that Neon Black Studios may be a Seattle studio founded by Electronic Arts in May, with former Monolith Productions VP Kevin Stephens at its helm.

It was previously reported that the as-yet-unnamed company will focus on open-world adventure games. Stevens, in particular, is known as one of the leading developers of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War.
