According to Bloomberg, Blizzard has discontinued the mobile MMORPG codenamed Neptune, which has been in production with Chinese company NetEase for over three years. The parties did not agree on the terms of the contract.

It is reported that Neptune was intended to be a spin-off from World of Warcraft and not a direct port to smartphones. The events would take place in the same universe as in the case of the cult MMORPG, but in a different time period.
