Rumor: Halo Infinite co-developers are creating their own version of Monster Hunter – exclusive to Xbox

According to VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb, Microsoft is working on a new intellectual property protection project with Certain Affinity. The game is described as a sort of Monster Hunter and will be exclusive to Xbox.

He talked about it in the last episode of the show. GrubbSnax. Additionally, Windows Central’s Jez Corden confirms the same information, citing his own sources. According to the latter, the project is codenamed Project Suerte. The game is inspired by Monster Hunter. It will feature battles with huge monsters and multiplayer gameplay.

Project Suerte is being developed by the Certain Affinity team, best known as the support studio for the Halo and Call of Duty shooter series. The project has been in development since Summer 2020 and is expected to be released in 2024 with an official announcement in 2023.

Certain Affinity is a long-standing Microsoft partner. She has worked on the Halo series herself from Halo 2 to Halo Infinite, including Halo: The Master Chief Collection. According to Corden, the studio may be working on a new mode for the latest Halo that will either use the battle royale formula or something else entirely.
