Ubisoft had already announced in mid-June that Odin would travel to the world of the dead Niflheim to meet his beloved Hel. Forgotten Saga was expected to be released before the end of this summer.

As has been announced, Forgotten Saga will launch on August 2nd on all Valhalla target platforms – PC (EGS, Ubisoft Connect), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and Google Stadia. Patch 1.6.0 will be released along with the mode.

To get to Hel, Odin must traverse four regions (in any order, but there is no turning back). Along the way, you can find upgraded caches, shop at merchants, complete side quests, and meet familiar faces.

Before starting the race, you must decide on equipment and blessings: the armor in Niflheim (there is no access to costumes from the main game) is tailored to a specific playstyle, and the sword chosen irrevocably replaces the existing one.
