Retro Anbernic RG353P Handheld Game Console Works with Android and Linux

Anbernic has announced a rather unusual portable gaming console – a device dubbed the RG353P. The gadget, based on the Rockchip hardware platform, received a retro-style design.

At the heart of the novelty is an IPS display with a diagonal of 3.5 inches and a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels. Implemented touch control support. Left and right of the screen are game controls – analog sticks, D-Pad and additional buttons. There are also end buttons.

The Rockchip RK3566 processor is installed, which contains four Cortex-A55 cores with a clock frequency of up to 1.8 GHz and an Arm Mali G52 graphics accelerator. The size of the LPDDR4X RAM is 2 GB.

The main feature of the gadget is the ability to use two operating systems. So, on the built-in eMMC 5.1 drive with a capacity of 32 GB, the Android 11 platform is installed.The kit also includes a 16 GB microSD card with the Linux operating system for running emulators. In addition, you can install a second microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB to store user data.

The pocket console is equipped with WLAN 5 and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless adapters, stereo speakers, an HDMI interface, a 3.5mm audio jack and two USB Type-C ports. A 3500 mAh battery is enough for an operating time of six hours. Estimated price – from $130.
