Resident Evil Village sells 57 million copies Monster Hunter Rise

Resident Evil Village sells 5.7 million copies, Monster Hunter Rise reaches 8 million

Capcom has released its financial statements for the nine months ended December 31, 2021. The period was marked by the highest sales at the end of the third quarter in its history. In particular, it became known how many copies of Resident Evil Village and Monster Hunter Rise were sold worldwide.

During the current fiscal year ending March 31, Resident Evil Village has sold over 5.7 million copies, making it the fastest-selling game in the series. It took her about 8 months (since May 7, 2021). At the same time, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin has sold over 1.4 million copies.

Monster Hunter Rise has sold 8 million copies worldwide since its release (March 26, 2021), and Resident Evil 7 has sold 1 million copies annually in its sixth year, bringing the total sales of the game to 10 million.

For the nine months, Capcom’s net income rose 35.9% year over year, while operating income rose 43.9%. Game sales topped 25.8 million copies, up 30.3% from the same period last year.
