As has been announced, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 are already available for PS5, Xbox Series X and S. Owners of these games on PS4 and Xbox One can get extended editions for free.

The update brought ray tracing, increased frame rates and 3D audio, as well as progress transfers from PS4 and Xbox One. Additionally, there’s support for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers on PS5.

The improvements listed are also available on PC in free patches for the games mentioned. As a reminder, due to the upgrade, Capcom had to increase the minimum system requirements.

Resident Evil 7 debuted in January 2017, Resident Evil 2 Remake was released in January 2019, and Resident Evil 3 Reimagining was released in April 2020. Until recently, all three games were only available on PC (Steam), PS4, and Xbox One.
