We will remind, shortly after the release of Resident Evil 7, the Japanese publishing house expressed the hope to sell 10 million copies of the game, but, even becoming the best-selling part of the series, the project did not reach the cherished mark.

Resident Evil 7 got closest to the goal at the end of June of this year: by the last day of this month, over 9.8 million copies were sold around the world, and in October the top was finally taken.

As it became known, the total shipments and digital sales of Resident Evil 7 exceeded 10 million copies. It is reported that the seventh part is the first in the history of the series to overcome this milestone.

Resident Evil 7 was released in January 2017 on PC (Steam), PS4 and Xbox One, and subsequently made it to Amazon Luna and Google Stadia. It took the game a little over four and a half years to reach 10 million copies shipped.
