A repost function has appeared on the Threads microblogging platform – they will be displayed in the chronological feed and in a new tab specially designed for them, said the Instagram boss.✴ Adam Moseri
The need for the repost feature is obvious – it’s present in one form or another on most social networks; Thread management added it “at your request” in the subscription feed, Mr Mosseri said. The change will make the subscription timeline more comfortable. Also, a separate tab with reposts has appeared in the user profile, where the user himself and his subscribers can see all reposted publications in a single feed. This tab does not yet exist in mobile applications, but it does exist on the profile page in the web interface.
Threads enjoyed rapid popularity, but subsequently experienced a large churn of users, and this is understandable: the platform started with a minimal set of functions and is now actively being developed. Recently Head of Meta✴ Mark Zuckerberg promised that Threads will have improved search and a full web interface “in the coming weeks” – for many users they can be a strong argument for a return to the platform.
