“Reminds me of Devil May Cry”: The authors of the action game Soulstice introduced the game in an 11-minute video

Modus Games and Italian studio Reply Game have unveiled an 11-minute demo of Soulstice, a dynamic action game due out this fall. As users noted in the comments to the video, the game is very similar to Devil May Cry and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow.

In the video, sisters Briar and Lut work together to annihilate the forces of otherworldly opponents and save the city of Ilden. The protagonist wields a variety of magical weapons – and under certain conditions, she herself can become no less terrifying than her enemies.

It is noteworthy that the sisters in Soulstice are voiced by Stefanie Joosten, the star of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. According to the storyline, Briar and Lute were reincarnated as a kind of “chimera” and now they are the only ones who can resist the “spirits” – creatures that came to this world from the other side of the veil.

Additionally, Modus Games and Reply Game Studios have unveiled the Soulstice Deluxe Physical Edition, which includes a digital artbook, digital soundtrack, and the Ashen Blade Item Pack with consumables and currency to equip Briar and Luth. Soulstice will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
