Remedy Entertainment, as promised by insiders, has announced a remaster of Alan Wake. This was done by screenwriter and creative director Sam Lake, who had a hand in all of the company’s projects.
In his letter to Alan Wake fans on The Sudden Stop, he thanked players for continuous support of the project for over 10 years. Lake noted that the decision to remaster was based on the fans’ great love for the game.
“The original game was only available on the Xbox 360 and came out on the PC a few years later. We are very pleased that we have the opportunity to release a remaster for a new generation. I look forward to your feedback on Alan Wake. “– wrote Sam Lake.
The writer added that the gameplay will remain unchanged. But the graphics, the Alan Wake model itself and the videos will be improved. The re-release will also include the plot additions The Signal and The Writer with audio commentary from the developers.
The release will take place this fall on PC (Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. According to rumors, the release is scheduled for October 5th.
