Released Onyx Boox Vasco da Gama 4 reader with Moon Light 2

The Onyx Boox family of e-book readers has been expanded with the Vasco da Gama 4 model, which is equipped with a 6-inch E Ink Carta display with touch control support.

The screen has a resolution of 1024 × 758 pixels and has the ability to reproduce 16 shades of gray. The Snow Field function has been implemented to reduce the number of artifacts on the E Ink panel during partial redrawing.

The reader received Moon Light 2 illumination: it creates a soft glow, optimal for dark rooms. The backlight has a color temperature control, and thanks to the use of Flicker-Free technology, there is no flicker.

The gadget carries on board a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.2 GHz, 512 MB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 8 GB. There is a microSD slot and a Micro-USB port.

The novelty supports wireless Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.1. Power is provided by a rechargeable battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. Dimensions are 170 × 117 × 8.7 mm, weight – 182 g.

The device can handle TXT, HTML, RTF, FB2,, FB3, MOBI, CHM, PDB, DOC, DOCX, PRC, EPUB, PDF and DjVu documents, JPG, PNG, GIF and BMP images, and WAV audio files and MP3.
