The Redmi brand continues to expand its range of smartphones. This time, two entry-level models have been added to the catalog of devices offered on the manufacturer’s website – Redmi A2 and Redmi A2 +.

The Redmi A2 smartphone is equipped with a 6.52-inch display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels. Above the display is a 5-megapixel front camera that supports 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second. On the back is the main camera, which is a combination of an 8 MP sensor with a depth sensor.
The basis of the device was an eight-core microprocessor MediaTek Helio G36 (four Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of up to 1.7 GHz). The PowerVR GE8320 accelerator is responsible for graphics processing. The device will be available in versions with 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. The power source is a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 10 watts.
According to the available data, the only difference between the Redmi A2 + model is the presence of a fingerprint scanner, which is located on the back of the case. Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ runs Android 12 Go Edition. The Redmi A2 measures 164.9 x 76.8 x 9.1mm and weighs 192g. It will be available in green, blue and black color options. The cost of new smartphones starts at $115.
