Realme officially unveiled its latest flagship smartphone, the GT 2 Pro, which has been teasing fans of the brand with details for a few weeks now. As expected, the device received a high-quality filling and its back wall is made of environmentally friendly materials, including paper, soybeans and a number of other organic components.
The novelty is based on the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, which works in conjunction with 8 or 12 GB of RAM. The storage capacity can be 128B, 256 or 512 GB. A powerful diamond core system is used to cool the chipset, which is supposed to increase the heat dissipation surface by 205%. The cooling system is said to have a heat dissipation area of 36,761 mm², the largest in the industry. The area of the evaporation chamber is 4129 mm². All of this made it possible to lower the peak core temperature. Perhaps this way Realme was able to avoid a drop in frequencies in a mode with sustained high load on the chipset, which is the sin of the Xiaomi 12 Pro and the Moto Edge X30, which are also based on Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The Realme GT 2 Pro has a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2K resolution and refresh rates of up to 120 Hz. In the upper left corner of the screen there is a tiny circular cutout for the front camera. The display is covered with a hardened Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Realme GT 2 Pro received a touch panel with a query rate of 1000 Hz, with which the device can react immediately to touches. There is a fingerprint sensor under the display, which you can also use to determine the heart rate.
Realme GT 2 Pro is positioned by the manufacturer as the world’s first device equipped with an ultra-large X-axis linear vibration motor of the new generation. The smartphone also has a huge matrix antenna system and an omnidirectional NFC module for contactless payment. As for the camera, the main module consists of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a 150-degree field of view, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Realme GT 2 Pro received a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast 65 W charging. Thanks to this, it only takes 33 minutes to fully charge the battery.
Realme GT 2 Pro will come pre-installed with Android 12 with the proprietary Realme UI 3.0 skin. The new product can already be pre-ordered and will go on sale on January 7th.
The base model with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will cost $ 580. A version with the same amount of RAM but with a 256GB drive costs $ 630. A modification with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent storage is estimated at $ 675. The most advanced configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage costs $ 755.
