Razer updates blade gaming laptops with new Intel and AMD processors and NVIDIA graphics

Razer has updated its 14 “, 15” and 17 “Blade gaming laptops with the latest solutions from Intel, AMD and NVIDIA. There have also been external changes to laptops, but they are not that noticeable. Here, the manufacturer was more based on the principle : “Why change something when everything is fine.”

Every updated blade laptop includes the latest NVIDIA graphics accelerators. You can choose from among others the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 16 GB GDDR6 memory. In addition, the notebooks are equipped with the latest DDR5 4800 MHz RAM.

The most significant external changes of the new products are the enlarged keyboards and their keys. And the speaker grilles of the new products are now laser cut, says the manufacturer.

Like the previous version, the updated model of the Razer Blade 14 gaming notebook is exclusively equipped with AMD processors. The company does not say which chips are available to the buyer, but makes it clear that these are “new Ryzen models with higher clock rates”. Apparently it is the Ryzen 6000. In addition, the Blade 14 received support for SSDs with PCIe 4.0 interface, a new function for switching between integrated and discrete graphics and a webcam with 1080p resolution.

The Blade 15 has even fewer changes. With immediate effect, the manufacturer no longer divides laptop configurations into “Basic” and “Advanced”. This laptop is ready to offer 12th generation Intel core models all the way up to 14 core models (Razer did not provide the name of the chip). The laptop also offers a choice of multiple displays, including a 4K panel with a refresh rate of 144 Hz, which is a significant improvement over last year’s model, which also had a 4K screen, but with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

For the Blade 17, the manufacturer claims the same processor choices as the Blade 14. There is also a choice for a 4K display with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. However, the most curious feature of the largest model of the upgraded Blade laptop is the 280-W -GaN charging. In addition, the Blade 17 received a more powerful 82 Wh battery and eight loudspeakers from the standard audio system.

The manufacturer will be accepting pre-orders for the updated Razer Blade laptops from January 25th. Before the end of the first quarter of 2022, retailers will have new items on sale. The Blade 15 model starts at $ 2,500 while the Blade 17 model will start at $ 2,700. Pre-orders for the younger Blade 14 model will be accepted starting February 10th. It will also be available for purchase starting at $ 2,000 before the end of the first quarter.
