First, a patch for the racing simulator Gran Turismo 7 will be released concurrently with the release of PS VR2, adding support for a VR headset to the PS5 version of the game. A small gameplay fragment was shown at CES 2023 (see below).
Second, the popular rhythm game Beat Saber, which released on the original PlayStation VR, will be coming to PlayStation VR2. Release dates and other details are not given at this time.
According to Ryan, PlayStation VR2 will have more than 30 games at launch (up from 20), including the upcoming Horizon Call of the Mountain, as well as Resident Evil Village and No Man’s Sky.
The PlayStation VR2 will go on sale on February 22nd. The cost of the headset starts at $550 (requires a PlayStation 5 console to use). There will be no backwards compatibility with games from the original PlayStation VR.
