Japanese company Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) announced to enter into a strategic agreement with South Korean publisher and developer NCSoft, known for Lineage, Guild Wars and Throne and Liberty.
We are talking about a global business partnership between SIE and NCSoft. The CEOs of both companies, Jim Ryan and Taekjin Kim, met in person to sign the required documents.
As part of the partnership, SIE and NCSoft will work together in various areas, including mobile. Companies are currently exploring potential opportunities for “Stimulate strategic synergies”.

The announcement of the partnership between SIE and NCSoft comes a year after reports of the South Korean company preparing an MMORPG in the universe of SIE post-apocalyptic action films Horizon.
According to the South Korean portal MTNThe project took place on behalf of NCSoft under the code name Project H, was reportedly aimed at a global audience and is part of SIE’s initiative to expand its presence in the gaming services segment.
In addition to NCSoft’s potential Horizon MMORPG, Guerrilla Games’ online Horizon, a sequel to last year’s Horizon Forbidden West from the same developers, and a rumored remake of Horizon Zero Dawn for PS5 are in development.
