Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer on his microblog commented Rumors that flared up over the weekend about a change in the company’s strategy regarding Xbox exclusives.
Let us recall that according to The Verge And XboxEraMicrosoft plans to release a number of major Xbox exclusives outside of its ecosystem, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Starfield, Hi-Fi Rush and Sea of Thieves.
Following the initial reports, data appeared that games in the series could also lose their exclusive status Gears of War and coming out in May Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II. Fans called for Spencer to the answer.
In a laconic message, Spencer assured that “we listen and hear you”and also announced a business event next week, at which the company will talk about “our vision for the future of Xbox”.
Portal The Verge addedthat Microsoft initially planned to hold a presentation at the end of February, combining it with the announcement of Hi-Fi Rush for PS5 and Switch, but the growing rumors forced the platform holder to hurry up.
It is assumed that Microsoft management is dissatisfied with the amount of income of its gaming division, and therefore decided to move to a new multi-platform strategy.
Judging by the comments to the announcement from Spencer, many Xbox owners are not eager to see Microsoft games on competing platforms and are threatening to sell their console if the company decides to make such drastic changes.
