As it became known from the description of the project, Atlus will not allow the owners of Persona 5 Royal on PS4 to continue the passage of the game on PS5: the adventure must start from the very beginning.

Atlus previously announced that buyers of Persona 5 Royal on PS4 will also not be able to upgrade their copy of the project (for free or for money) to the upcoming PS5 version.

Remember that Persona 5 Royal tells the story of a group of teenagers who, with the help of their alter egos (personas) in the role of Phantom Thieves, must save people from their own malevolent desires.

Persona 5 Royal is an expanded edition of the original Persona 5. In March 2020 (western release) the project was released on PS4 and on October 21st 2022 it will be released on PS5 (and other platforms).
