As has become known, the first closed “beta” of Overwatch 2 PvP mode will begin in Overwatch 2 territory at the end of April this year “certain regions”. It will be possible to test the game on PC and you can sign up for volunteers official site.
Blizzard Entertainment promises to gradually open access to try Overwatch 2: more and more people will join the “beta” as it progresses through its phases.
Among the Beta content, users will have access to: the heroine Sojorn, Onslaught mode, four new maps, 5v5 online matches, and overhauled characters (Orisa, Doomfist, Bastion, and Sombra).
“Our goal now is to try out new features, content, and systems before testing server reliability with large numbers of players in future beta testing phases.”— noted in Blizzard Entertainment.
Also, the team decided to change the release strategy by separating PvP and PvE modes in Overwatch 2. This should allow new PvP content to be added faster while continuing to work on PvE.
Overwatch 2 is officially announced for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The developers have not given a release date for the project, but according to Activision Blizzard’s November report, the release will take place in 2023 at the earliest.
